Alabama is considered a southern state and the 22 state to be admitted to the
United States. The northeren section of Alabama mainly consists of mountains and the
rest consists of a gentle plain. Majority of the state has a humid subtropical climate and
in the summer can average 90 degrees fahrenheit throughout the whole state. Alabama industrial
products are iron, steel, paper, lumber, mining, plastic, and apparel. Alabama is also home of the
NASA George C. Marshall Space Flight Center and US Army Missile Command.
